Job Title: Marketing Communications Specialist
Primary Assignment: Development
Salary Range: Commensurate with Level of Education and Experience (salaried exempt employee)
Work Schedule: 40 hour- Full Time (or Part Time for the right candidate)
Position Description:
Jewish Family Service (JFS) of Metrowest is a Framingham, Massachusetts based non-profit agency that provides vital social, health and community services to alleviate suffering, enhance lives and support people in need. JFS is a multi-cultural, multi-linguistic organization with deep roots in both the Jewish and broader community.
JFS seeks a detail-oriented, experienced Marketing Communications professional to work with the development team and program staff to share the good works of the agency through both internal and external channels, grow the agency’s online following, and increase/strengthen brand identity and awareness in the community.
While this position allows for some work to be done remotely, the ideal candidate will be available to work in the agency’s Framingham office at least 3 full days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Develop/coordinate agency communications: write blog posts, update website content, publish news through social media, create/develop outreach materials, assist in the development of fundraising materials, create ads, etc.
- Increase/strengthen brand identity and awareness through strategy as well as consistency in design and messaging
- Attend and photograph events
- Create promotional videos
- Recommend/manage new/trending social media platforms to meet agency goals
- Assist with the production of the annual Report to the Community
- Maintain a marketing calendar, attend a monthly MARCOM meeting, and proactively manage holiday and seasonal communications
- Develop and manage a plan to grow the agency’s online audience and track/report on traffic statistics
- Assist with the coordination and execution of fundraising and volunteer events as needed
- Create online surveys and forms
- Work with vendors to order supplies and branded giveaways
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 3+ years of related experience (social media, desktop publishing, etc.)
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Experience with WordPress or other website CMS platform
- Annual Influenza (FLU) vaccination and vaccinations against COVID-19 in compliance with CDC recommendations
