The JFS Syrian Refugee Humanitarian Project brought together organizations from across Greater Boston Metrowest, including synagogues, Islamic centers, academia and the medical community to provide safety, hope and opportunity to Syrian war refugees. This project was instrumental in ensuring that refugee families that had resettled in Massachusetts received the care, attention and support necessary to survive their terrible trials and start to build a new life here in the United States.

To continue this important work, JFS is teaming up with the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees (MFA) (with generous support provided by The Shapiro Foundation to send a shipboard container full of personal care, medical and other supplies to children and families living in refugee camps inside Syria this spring.
