POSITION:         AmeriCorps Member – New American Integration Program
HOST SITE:       JFSMW – Jewish Family Service of Metrowest
LOCATION:        Framingham
TERM:                September 7, 2022 – July 30, 2023

ABOUT NAIP: As an AmeriCorps member serving in the New American Integration Program, you will join a cohort of up to 35 NAIP members to serve at partner sites across Massachusetts to provide job readiness training, ESOL/civics instruction, and/or citizenship application assistance. ABOUT THIS POSITION: The JFS NAIP member will receive a wide variety of experiences working with the immigrant community in and around Framingham. They are primarily responsible for helping clients apply for citizenship, as well as tutoring them in ESOL and civics as needed, and recruiting and managing volunteers to do the same. They are also highly involved in supporting undocumented immigrants, first generation college students, refugees and asylees, and families in the Framingham Public School system with everything from basic needs, to accessing health insurance, to ESOL and job readiness.

SITE REQUIREMENTS: Portuguese and Spanish preferred

GENERAL SCHEDULE:
8:30 AM-4:30 PM Monday-Friday
